30 Before 30 Mission

So, we're starting The Biggest Loser at work this week and honestly, it's perfect timing.  I had already decided that I was going to make my best effort in losing some weight before the holidays started, so this should help keep me motivated!  :o)

Here's my breakdown....
My 30th birthday is in 67 days.  I have 67 days to try and lose 30 pounds, or as much of it as I can.  I have at least 30 pounds of marriage/baby weight from two kids that I finally need to evict.  The longer I wait, the harder it's going to be getting it off.  I want to be healthy and happy for as long as the good Lord will let me, so I'm giving this "extra" I've acquired it's final notice!

My plan.....
I've been pinning various workouts on Pinterest for simple things I can do without having to have a whole lot of time and/or equipment.  There are several different plans that I've seen with varying amounts of different exercise done first thing in the morning when you wake up.  I've somewhat combined a few of them to make my own version and it goes a little something like this, repeated 1/2 times depending upon how much time I have:

  • 30 Jumping Jacks
  • 20 High Knees
  • 10 Squats
  • 10 Standing lunges (each leg)
  • 40 Bicycle crunches
  • 10 Push ups
I plan on walking as much as possible at work and I would L.O.V.E. to get back on the "running" (okay, let's be honest, jogging) campaign at least 2 times a week.  I had worked my way up to doing 4 miles without stopping this past summer and fall.....here's hoping it's like riding a bike and comes back to me quickly!

I have also made the attempt at cutting my calorie intake down to between 1200 and 1300 daily.  It worked rather well until Christmas came around, so here's hoping that I can get back on the wagon now that I've devoured all the "goodies" from the holidays! :o)  If you have any good recipes that are both good for you and easy to make, please pass my way!

Weigh in was today, so I have my starting point.  We weigh in each Friday morning, so I will keep you posted on my progress as we go through the competition.  I figured if I made this public, it would be easier for me to be held to it and keep me more accountable.  Join me on my journey in weigh loss!

Wish me luck!! :o)
